We received some heart wrenching news today....the tumor Coleson had is malignant. Chemotherapy doesn't respond well to this type of cancer, so radiation is what the recommendation is. He will have to undergo about 6 weeks of treatment. We are praying that he will be cancer free afterwards.
I absolutely cannot imagine being told my child has cancer. Regi & Julie have remained so strong through this whole ordeal and it's only because of our wonderful Father in Heaven. He has poured His love on this family and I know He will continue to. God knew this day was going to come before Coleson was born. We just have to trust in Him and know that He has a plan and a purpose for all of this. We will praise Him in this storm because He deserves all the glory.
I ask that you continue to pray for everyone. As of right now, Kenz doesn't know the diagnosis. Regi & Julie feel more comfortable having a child life specialist tell her. Pray for her to have peace and understanding with everything. She has been so strong through it all thus far and I'm so proud of her. Pray for Julie & Regi as they move forward and prepare to tackle this next step. Pray for them to have wisdom in finding which hospital is going to be the best for Coleson. Pray for Coleson's body to continue to heal from the surgery. Pray for his litle body to handle the radiation with minimal side effects. Pray for the rest of the family as well.
